The Mayflower Heritage Trail is a unique guided walking tour in Plymouth, Devon. Quirky, interesting and short guided walking tours of the Barbican and Sutton Harbour areas of Plymouth. Our walking tours show you splendid parts of Plymouth that far too many tourists (and locals) miss.

We take you to Plymouth Castle and places the Pilgrims would have stayed, shopped and

Plymouth’s Pilgrims

relaxed whilst in Plymouth. Did the crew get tempted by all the homes that were Inns and Inns that were brothels? We take you to these areas. Our tours are unique in that we pop in and out of historical facts…

How could we not mention that Napoleon stayed in Plymouth or Lawrence of Arabia, Pocahontas, Charlie Chaplin and notorious American gangster Jack “Legs” Diamond?… How about exactly where up to 600,000 people were deported to Australia and New Zealand … we take you there whilst staying close to the local Mayflower and Pilgrim story.

How could we miss the horrible history side of the Elizabethan era….We show you where the Mayflower sailed into Plymouth and berthed….The tour guides are easy going, in Pilgrim costume and keep the chatter short, to the point and at times very amusing!

We can even stop off in the famous Dolphin Pub where you can have a pint with some friendly locals and fishermen who will give you a massive welcome. You can even bring your own Fish and Chips into the Dolphin. We can arrange it all for you.

Our main walking tour is professionally researched and developed by Ruth Mitchell and written by Jon Nash of the Barbican Theatre… There are some comedic elements and in all the tour should take 45 – 90 minutes
